While I am not as moved by their other work, this song by English band Florence + The Machine is moving and powerful. They have captured the raw and powerful emotions associated with love. The drums are tight as all get out.
Infectious Grooves – Therapy
When Punk, Metal and Funk all end up in the same place you get a Tune I Like.
The Bird and The Bee – Polite Dance Song
Bizarre jazzy something or such. The groove is mellow and powerful. Eric Wareheim (of Tim and Eric Fame) Directed the even more bizarre video.
Oingo Boingo- Nothing to Fear (But Fear Itself)
Oingo Boingo, were they punk, new wave, avant garde or all of the above. I’m not sure nor do I care because no matter what they were this is a Tune I Like. I loved the back of this CD. “The temperature is starting to drop.”
Broncho – Class Historian
This Tune I Like is old and new school all at the same time. Broncho are from Oklahoma.
Merle Haggard – Are the Good Times Really Over for Good
R.I.P.
Tame Impala – Let It Happen
Tame Impala’s let it happen is a nuevo retro psychedelic prog rock groove from the land down under. I totally let this happen because it’s a Tune I Like.
Mirrors – Ways To An End
What the hell year is it? Who cares?! This pop noir jam is addicting.
Little Dragon – Klapp Klapp
This song when played at max volume in the car with the bass cranked will tickle my insides. I am nearly certain i have caused irreparable damage to my hearing with this Tune I Like. Learn More: Little Dragon
The Pretenders – Tattooed Love Boys
As far back as I can remember loving music I can remember LOVING Chrissie Hynde’s voice and attitude. This song is the complete synthesis of her attitude and The Pretenders punkish sound with absolute musicianship. It’s a Tune I Like from a long time ago.
